"I think it's a very hard game, very hard team, but for us it's about success against them with our quality, our performance and also our respect".

Emery has only been in charge for a matter of weeks but a little bit of expectation has already returned too.

As impressive as Arsenal's unbeaten 11-game run is, they haven't really played anyone particularly unsafe, or at least any teams who have put real pressure on them, during that time. It couldn't get more hard to make it 13, as Liverpool don't look like being beaten any time soon. Arsenal put Liverpool under pressure immediately, with Lacazette forcing a good save from Reds goalkeeper Alisson inside three minutes. "We need more. But this spirit is like we want", Emery said.

Alexandre Lacazette's late goal earned Arsenal a 1-1 draw with Liverpool on Saturday and stopped the visitors moving three points clear at the top of the Premier League. He was also behind the last Arsenal defender, but because he hit the ball in the "second phase" of the move, Mane's goal should have stood. We had it in the wrong half of the game I would say, in the first half.

What is the difference this season?

Emery, who has previously handed self-improvement books to his players, believes such titles can help improve a person and a footballer.

But the fact is that Klopp and Co. continue to look like a legitimate contender to win Liverpool's first English title in 29 years. In the moment we have each position twice, three times and sometimes four times covered. And with Emery's attack looking more than capable, it will be a tale of which defence wants to win the most.

It is still early days of the new era under Emery, with Arsenal just 16 games in, but there is an air of positivity around the Emirates again, and that is success in itself. Liverpool are one of the only two teams in the league, whose xGA (expected goals against) are in single digits. After Saturday's game, Liverpool are left to play only Manchester United out of the Big Six. "In fact, this is probably Liverpool's most hard game of the season so far".

I have no doubt in my mind that Arsenal are a better team with Ozil than without him, and the stats for his first five years at the club back up how important he has been. With a chance created every 47.1 minutes (14 from 660 mins), the German is 21st overall in the top flight of players to have played more than 450 minutes.

Arsenal's recent run has been written off by some down to the standard of the opposition they have seen off, but this showed that they can go toe-to-toe with the best.

"I think that has to be the first-choice pairing at Liverpool now and I think a lot of fans would agree as well".

"The progress takes time, a long time in football is very hard to demand". Today is one test, how we are against a team like Chelsea.
