West Indies all-rounder Roston Chase says they are better prepared to tackle young Indian batsman Prithvi Shaw, whose initial onslaught had set the tone for their embarrassing defeat in the first Test.

Opting to bat first at the Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium, India marched to 364 for four at the close, with the 18-year-old Shaw belting a superb 134 and captain Virtat Kohli ominously poised on an unbeaten 72. The world's top Test side were two wickets away from taking a lead in the two-match series.

Another clinical performance is expected from Virat Kohli & Co, who will take the match as their final preparation before the Australia tour.

Moreover, WI have an inexperienced bowling lineup which hurt them in the first Test and their record in India in the last 10 years is also poor as compared to other teams so it will be intriguing to see whether they will make any changes in their bowling department or not in Hyderabad. He is playing just his fourth Test since making his debut a year ago against Australia.

Playing in his fourth Test, the left-hander, who scored 114 in his previous innings against England at The Oval, fell when he got a leading edge off Bishoo to be caught at point eight runs shy of his century.

There was no such divine intervention, however, and when Kraigg Brathwaite turned Ashwin into Prithvi Shaw's waiting hands at short leg with one over to go before lunch, the Windies were sliding again at 32 for one.

In contests like these, the focus is on challenging one's own self which skipper Virat Kohli did in the first Test where he scored 139 off 230 balls. "They showed us how to bat", a disappointed Brathwaite said after the loss.

While Ravichandran Ashwin (4/37) was the pick of the bowlers in the first innings, Kuldeep was all over the opposition batsmen in the second innings on way to a maiden five-wicket haul in Tests. Even though the big names are missing in the list, Cricket West Indies are viewing this ODI series as a platform for the young bloods to groove themselves ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 to be played in England.

India started with the spin-pace combination of Kuldeep and Mohammad Shami.
