According to officials from the commission, a notice has also been shot to the Cine and TV Artists Association (CINTAA) to explain the procedure to redress sexual harassment complaints.

A few days ago, actor Tanushree Datta had accused that Nana Patekar misbehaved with her 10 years ago.

In his complaint, Kumar, who recently shot with Patekar in Jaisalmer for their upcoming movie "Housefull 4", told the police that during questions and answers at an event, someone asked him about a well-known actress from Bollywood, but later that part was uploaded on YouTube in an edited form.

The panel has also sought an update of investigation into the police complaint filed by Tanushree Dutta.

The Maharashtra State Commission for Women has issued notices to Nana Patekar, Rakesh Sarang and Ganesh Acharya, among others, ANI reported.

Tanushree Dutta slams Salman Khan and Bigg Boss over Nana Patekar Controversy. Patekar, however, refuted these allegations and said that "a lie will remain a lie". A beleaguered Nana also said his lawyers have asked him not to speak to the media as the matter is sub-judice. "Will let you know about the further proceedings soon, regards".

His remarks came after Tanushree in an interview in September, in the context of the #MeToo Movement and sexual harassment of women in Bollywood, spoke out of her personal experience at the hands of Nana Patekar on the set of "Horn "OK" Pleassss" in 2008. "The truth that was there 10 years back stands true even today", he said.

Tanushree claims that she complained to Ganesh Acharya.
