The NL West and NL Central were on track for tiebreaker games when the Los Angeles Dodgers, Colorado Rockies, Chicago Cubs and Milwaukee Brewers all took leads in Game 162.

It's Milwaukee's second NL Central crown, but first since 2011.

But pinch-hitter Dawel Lugo turned on a 96 miles per hour inside fastball for a two-run homer to left that tied the game at 5 with nobody out in the eighth.

The Rockies play the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday night at Wrigley Field in the one-game wild card. Kyle Freeland (17-7, 2.85) starts for the Rockies, and the victor gets Milwaukee in the best-of-five Division Series starting Thursday at Miller Park.

Chicago stays at Wrigley Field for Tuesday night's wild-card game.

The title-winning Red Sox, Indians, Astros and Braves will advance to the postseason along with the Brewers, Cubs, Rockies and Dodgers plus the New York Yankees and Oakland Athletics, the two American League wild card teams.

The Milwaukee Brewers won the season series against the Colorado Rockies 5-2 including taking 3 of 4 in Colorado and 2 of 3 in Milwaukee.

Brewers: Counsell named LHP Gio Gonzalez (9-11) the starter for the finale. Mike Moustakas then ripped an RBI single to right. Yelich only trails in the RBIs column - he has 109 and Javier Baez of the Cubs leads with 111.

Each starting pitcher handed off the game to his bullpen in a 1-1 tie. And they beat Washington in a grueling Division Series a year ago, winning Game 5 on the road.

Quintana pitched around six hits in five innings, twice stranding a baserunner in scoring position. He has struck out 33 batters and given up 23 hits in 37.1 innings of work, and has held Milwaukee to a paltry.177 batting average.

Yelich also heard repeated "MVP!" chants when he singled in each of his first three at-bats. You have to give him credit - four hits is very tough in this atmosphere against our guys.

Lester was 6-1 with a 1.71 ERA in his final eight starts.

Freeland set a franchise record with a 2.85 ERA - including a 2.40 mark at Coors Field.
