According to the London Evening Standard, as reported by the Express, Jose Mourinho has lost his patience with the Frenchman, amid growing uncertainty about the forward's future.

Germany defender Jerome Boateng has now confirmed reports that he drew interest over the summer and also revealed that he called Jose Mourinho to personally thank the Manchester United manager for the attempt to sign him.

Mourinho was desperate to sign a top class central defender during the summer transfer window as the Man Utd boss continues to have doubts over the likes of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling, Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof.

Speaking to Bild, Boateng said, "I had enquiries from PSG and Manchester United".

And it seems many United fans already want him to leave the club. It was no escape, but rather the thrill of a new challenge.

One job that the World Cup victor continues to be linked with is Jose Mourinho's at Manchester United.

"As a fan, honestly, part of me says that no one is bigger than the club and I am not interested in people who are looking left and right".

Andrea Pirlo admitted he would not be surprised to see Paul Pogba leave Manchester United and rejoin Juventus.

"I explained to Jose that it's hard to leave Bayern, and if I do, everything has to be in place to top this club".

Manchester United slumped to back to back defeats by Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton and Hove Albion before they returned to winning ways last time out with a 2-0 victory at Burnley.

Doucoure told The Sun: 'I've known Paul since I played with him in the French Under-16 team and he was, physically, the same as he is today, because he was in advance of everyone. He won the Champions League with the side in 2013, six consecutive Bundesliga titles and three German Cups.
