Maravilla's tweet about the poster went viral in under 24 hours.

"Look around. There are literally no Asians on these walls", he says as he points to other pictures on the walls.

Maravilla and his friend Christian Toledo cooked up a plan.

And judging by the response Jevh Maravilla and Christian Toledo are getting worldwide, a lot of people seem to be lovin' it. "There was a Zumba class going on and I'm sure they were wondering what we were doing".

Start the day off right with a viral prank at the expense of no one but a major American corporation.

They found a "natural environment" that looked similar to the locations used for the existing photos, and took a picture similar to the ones they had seen inside the restaurant.

"The fries [container] was advertising the FIFA World Cup at the time, so we wanted to take that out, and we added to the actual [number of] fries, because, well, we ate some of them", he said. This week, they finally showed the world their culture-jamming masterpiece-an image of themselves eating beneath a poster of themselves eating, as though they'd always been at this McDonald's, a couple of non-insane, corporeal Jacks Nicholson.

The pair even bought a McDonald's uniform from a charity shop for seven dollars to help them execute the prank.

He shared a video showing the evolution of the prank on YouTube as well. He told USA Today: "Like, for Asian men".

"We weren't trying to make a bad rap with them, we weren't trying to do any harm", Maravilla said. The group brought the poster into the restaurant and leaned it against a wall - backwards, so as not to attract attention. "That's the main goal".

'We take pride in highlighting diversity in every aspect of our restaurants, ' the company said. "We applaud these students" creativity and hope to see them in our restaurants again soon'.
