On Tuesday, Good Morning America revealed that Colton Underwood will be the star of The Bachelor's 23rd season.

Colton Underwood is getting another shot at love.

He then went on "Bachelor in Paradise" where he rekindled his romance with ex-girlfriend and former Bachelor contestant, Tia Booth. The news of the former National Football League player becoming the next star of The Bachelor comes just one day after Colton broke up with Tia on Bachelor In Paradise. "He told me that he couldn't think about anyone else". Subsequently, an "After the Final Rose" episode was tacked onto the season to allow viewers-and the show's contestants-to process their feelings, and an Internet firestorm erupted. "That's what I'm hoping for!" "That's what I'm looking forward to the most, being engaged and being married shortly after that.' He also admitted that the most important thing he is looking for on his 'journey" is someone who is in it for the right reasons.

While ABC has not set an official release date for season 23 of "The Bachelor", fans should expect the show to return in early 2019.

Or they just wanted anyone but Colton.

Underwood said after the announcement was made Tuesday morning on ABC's "Good Morning America".

Underwood initially competed on Becca Kufrin's season of The Bachelorette, though he was ultimately sent home towards the end of the season. Underwood also dated Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman, though the couple split up in June 2017. "Thank you for teaching me even more about myself, and most importantly, for your friendship that I know will continue far beyond Paradise", Colton wrote.

Following the episode, Colton posted the sweetest message on Instagram about Tia.
