Now known - again, unofficially - as the iPhone X 6.1, it's believed to have a 6.1-inch LCD screen, unlike the OLED panels of the more expensive phones.

Alongside the standard iPhone we may also see a larger iPhone X Plus which might include a giant 6.5-inch display and a cheaper device that will bring lower specs at a reduced price. The Apple Watch Series 4 will come in a gold color option and use the same bands as the previous three versions.

It went on to state that Apple will also unveil a new watch, the Apple Watch Series 4.

The event will be held in Cupertino, California, at the Steve Jobs Theater on the company's Apple Park campus, according to Apple's website. Some things are glaringly obvious from a first glance, like that bigger new display and thinner bezels.

IOS 12 and numerous features announced during Apple's 2018 WWDC, including AR Kit 2.0, a more detailed breakdown of iPhone usage, and Animojis, should also make an appearance and receive a release date. This essentially means that none of the 2018 iPhones will have Touch ID, and the devices will instead rely on Face ID.

The upcoming phones show the company is adjusting its strategy. Scheduled to start at 10AM, rumour has it that the event might see the launch of three new iPhones. Apple will give this handset a 6.1-inch screen and swap stainless steel for aluminum. A Google spokeswoman declined to comment. A new, larger but still square profile will be used this time around with the reduction in bezels allowing for a roughly 15% larger display. The iPad Pro is due for an update and rumors say Apple will replace the 10.5-inch tablet with an 11-inch model. The final names could be different, the person noted. The Apple Watch and Air Pods could also get a refresh. Their overall size will remain similar, making them compatible with existing straps, people familiar with the product said.
