There were reports prior to the start of the Gunners' win over West Ham that Mesut Ozil argued with Unai Emery and was dropped by the former PSG boss.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have yet to pick up a point in the Premier League this season. We have to see the reasons why we conceded so many. We need to continue working to not concede many chances. "It isn't true. I don't know who is telling you this information", said the Spaniard.

"I'm absolutely sure that in December, when we finish the first half [of the season], this team will at least be in the middle of the table".

Details of the illness were not disclosed by the club as the former German global sat out the Gunners third league game of the season.

"Yeah he was ill with nasal and yesterday we decided with the doctor and with him that he would not play".

Despite the defeat, manager Pellegrini says he was happy with the performance overall. We will win more games than we lose if we play like this.

'Looking at it, it was a close game, and even in the last minutes of the game we had the chance to equalise.

It was just the bit of luck that Emery was searching for as Arsenal struggled to control the game for long stretches.

Anderson exploited that space brilliantly throughout, carrying the ball from deep to drive at the Arsenal defence, before playing a one-two with Arnautovic through Mustafi's legs and allowing the striker to pick his spot in the bottom corner from outside the area. "He left the training and went home because he was sick".

Ghanaian youngster Eddie Nketiah scored a brace as Arsenal U-23 defeated their London rivals West Ham 3-2 on Friday.

Teenager Matteo Guendouzi has started instead, but Torreira replaced the youngster against West Ham on Saturday with the scores tied and helped set up a win.

'I wouldn't describe it as relief, ' Bellerin told Arsenal Media.
