Red Dead Redemption 2 will follow Arthur Morgan, a trusted "Senior Gun" in the Van Der Linde Gang as they travel as outlaws across the United States in the late 1800's as the "Modern World" was born.

Captured entirely from in-game footage on the PlayStation®4 Pro, watch this introduction to Red Dead Redemption 2's gameplay in 4K.

However, unlike the sequel, you can interact with these citizens in a much deeper way.

For now, let's just agree that Red Dead Redemption 2 is inarguably stunning, and focus on the real intention of today's new trailer: to give us an idea how Red Dead Redemption 2 will actually play.

Rockstar and Take-Two have been maddeningly cagey about Red Dead Redemption 2 PC, the continued popularity of GTA Online on Steam makes prospects for the port good, though it's still as yet unconfirmed. That's only a couple of hours away, in case you were wondering!

And that means, just as fans would hope and expect, that this could end up being the best-looking console video game of the generation.

Rockstar teased GTA 5 in a similar fashion; releasing several cinematic trailers initially before dropping gameplay footage closer to launch. You'll get to know your fellow gang members as you play, and you'll want to keep morale high by providing resources and building relationships with them. The next gameplay video will show off the game's various activities, such as missions, hunting and side quests.
