While the 500 Million Limited Edition DualShock 4 does come with the system, it can also be purchased as a standalone item for $64.99. Many games, like Call of Duty®: WWII, Gran Turismo Sport, and more, are optimized to look stunningly sharp and detailed when played on a 4K TV with PS4 Pro.

Today, Sony said it has officially sold more than 525 million PlayStation systems including everything from PlayStation VR to the PlayStation Vita.

Sony is also prepping a dark blue translucent DualShock 4 controller for $64.99 United States dollars and $74.99 CAD, and a similarly styled Gold Wireless Headset for $99.99 USD and $119.99 CAD. To celebrate this achievement, and to thank fans for their continued support, Sony is releasing special 500 Million Limited Edition PlayStation 4 Pro console bundles featuring a sleek new color scheme, expanded storage, and a packed-in PlayStation camera. The console will be on sale from August 24 and will cost $500. You will be able to pre-order it from 14 August from Amazon and other retailers. To celebrate this milestone, the company is launching a translucent blue PlayStation 4 Pro, with a lineup of matching accessories to go along with it.

Finally, you'll find copper plating on the front of the console that features its serial number. The console will be priced at $499.99 United States dollars or $639.99 CAD, and Lempel notes that "these special hardware units will be in very, very, limited quantities", with only 50,000 units planned to be released worldwide. As with the Gold Wireless Headset, it will be sold in limited quantities in early September 2018.

Sony also released two videos to highlight the console.
