Her personal assistant reportedly screamed out, "She's dead!" People close to Lovato told her that they would cut her out of their lives if she did not get treatment.

The pop star is now in the hospital, recovering from a drug overdose she suffered last week, and subsequent complications. "There was blood on her pillow. and her airways may have been clogged", according to TMZ. "She could die if she doesn't, and that's not going to be on my watch that we did nothing", one of them is reported as saying.

Demi Lovato has reportedly agreed to enter a live-in rehab facility straight after she's released from hospital following her suspected overdose.

Meanwhile, famous friends continue to support the star - her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama has been a regular visitor to hospital over the past week, and former tourmate DJ Khaled has assured fans Demi will be fine. The first source suggested that she could be released "any day now". "Based on what we're told it appears the bodyguard propped Demi up and tried clearing her airway which allowed her to breathe", TMZ reported. Amid initial reports that she'd allegedly overdosed on heroin, conflicting stories surfaced claiming she'd used methamphetamine, leading to continued speculation that she'd taken multiple drugs.

"He fears for her well-being and knows that rehab is her best shot at recovering from her frightful ordeal", the source continued.

Recently, it was reported that Demi - who revealed in new track "Sober" in June that she had relapsed after five years of sobriety - was "serious about her sobriety", and is planning to "do whatever it takes" to get sober.

Lovato, who has a history of drug and alcohol abuse, had celebrated six years of sobriety in March 2018.
