Demi Lovato is still recuperating at the hospital and she is reportedly said to be facing "complications" after she was admitted due to a suspected drug overdose.

Dani, who is also one of Demi's closest friends, used Instagram to tell her followers that she "was not with Demi when the incident happened", adding: "Like all of you, I have nothing but love in my heart for her". Initial reports suggested the singer had suffered a heroin overdose but that appears not to be the case.

Vitale and Lovato have reportedly been friends for years. She is now being treated for issues that are very common after a drug overdose. "She's been in a downward spiral ever since and has not been doing well", the insider shared. "Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now".

Demi Lovato is "getting better" following her reported overdose, and has been regularly visited by her former boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama. Speaking to TMZ in NY on Monday (30Jul18), Khaled said, "I love Demi and Demi's gonna be great". Dani Vitale wrote, "There is no need for any negativity towards the ones who care about Demi at this time".

The dancer then went on to say that she understands that fans are anxious about Demi, "I know you're all feeling lost without her at this moment in time", she added in the post.

"Please remember that when you take out your phones and start typing".

"She's resting and getting better in the hospital", a source tells PEOPLE.

"She made the decision to come out publicly about her relapse recently because she thought she could inspire her fans and it would help her keep on track, but she has been battling her own demons for months", the insider continued. It's unclear when Lovato will be released from the hospital.
