Madrid head into the new season with an element of uncertainty, having lost both Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo, - the latter having left for Juventus earlier this month.

Hazard's future at Chelsea FC has been a constant source of speculation this summer after the Blues missed out on qualification for next season's Champions League.

Chelsea are happy to sanction Courtois' move as long as they can secure a replacement of their own, with Jack Butland looking increasingly likely to fill his gloves at Stamford Bridge.

Since then, he's helped bring two titles to Chelsea, making over 200 appearances in the top tier, and has become idolised by fans for the electricity he brings onto the pitch. Courtois too is refusing to sign a new deal as he enters the final year of his deal, and has also been heavily linked with Real Madrid. Los Blancos boss Julen Lopetegui has now shifted his focus to club talisman Gareth Bale and looks forward to honing Isco and Marco Asensio.

Real Madrid have reportedly "ended their interest" in signing Chelsea star Eden Hazard, after the Blues demanded a world-record fee in excess of £200million for the winger.

Chelsea are readying a £30million bid for Arsenal star Aaron Ramsey before the transfer window shuts.

But they may face some tough competition for the Brazilian's signature now that Real Madrid have entered the race to sign him.

Hazard has lit up the Premier League since arriving from Ligue 1 side Lille for £31.5million in 2012 when he was widely regarded as one of the most exciting emerging talents on the continent.
