To celebrate, the Palace has released an unseen photo of little George ahead of his big day. Prince William, for one, occasionally looked exasperated at their antics.

George Alexander Louis of Cambridge was born in the private Lindo Wing at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, at 4.24pm on 22 July 2013, weighing 8lb 6oz.

The little prince was very interested in the tail rotor.

The Duchess of Cambridge amazed royal watchers after she stepped out to present her newborn son Prince Louis to the world, just seven hours after giving birth.

Baby royals and baby critters - put them together and you can't go wrong.

Meaning that George - who turns five today - has no idea that he will one day become king. He seemed pleased but the photographers were even more delighted.
