Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored an absolute beauty in Arsenal's friendly against Boreham Wood this afternoon, while bagging a 17 minute hat-trick to the delight of new manager Unai Emery.

Emery has been revamping his squad at The Emirates as he prepares for his first season in charge of the north London club.

Reports say, Danny Welbeck and David Ospina are the two highest-profile Arsenal players who will return from the World Cup facing uncertain futures.

New boss Emery played Alexandre Lacazette and Reiss Nelson alongside Aubamenyang in a three-pronged attack and they each added a goal to leave it 5-0 at the break.

And asked how he will help the midfielder get over his recent hardships, Emery said: "We are here to help every player".

Asian fans will be keen to see how Emery fits German star Mesut Ozil into his formation while the likes of Lichtsteiner and Papastathopoulos will use the Singapore matches to forge a defensive partnership for the long season ahead.

"The national team didn't do the result they wanted, but today he's on holiday". And I want him to relax good, and I want when he comes back with us, to start good with a good mentality.

"We are also thinking about the players who were with us previous year and whether we need them to stay with us. He's coming with us to Singapore the first day". They have an advantage this summer, however, in that relatively few key players have been involved in the latter rounds of the World Cup and most of the squad will have had the rare luxury of a complete pre-season.
