For the second straight year, a Los Angeles Lakers player is named NBA Summer League MVP.

LeBron James shared his first message to one of his new Lakers teammates on social media on Tuesday.

The Lakers entered Tuesday's Las Vegas Summer League championship game as the tournament's No. 1 seed with a ideal 6-0 record.

Lakers team president Magic Johnson played an integral role in convincing James to leave his hometown franchise, laying out the foundations of a project that he believes would see them become contenders again within three years. We talked about the roster.

This was the first game that James has attended at this year's summer league, and he stayed in his seat on the baseline the whole game. "That's the biggest thing, I came here to win, I came here to dominate".

"I think I can knock down shots", said Hart, who shot 39.6 percent from behind the arc during his rookie season. The Lakers could never get going on either side of the floor in a 91-73 loss that served as an unfitting ending to a dominant summer run. In the other corner was a second-seeded Portland squad that had also won all six of its games.

"I can't really speak for [what the title means to] the organization, but as competitors it's important", Stotts told The Crossover.

The 22-year-old averaged 23.3 points, 10.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.8 blocks in 45 games with G League Delaware last season. "He brings it every day to the gym in the offseason with a tremendous work ethic and you can see the payoff here in summer league".
