Nepal observes International Yoga Day

Modi inaugurated the "YO1 Nature Cure Center" in the Catskills area of NY through a video link on the occasion of 4th International Day of Yoga.

The National Institute of Technology, Tiruchi, which had launched a week-long yoga classes for its students and staff ahead of the Yoga Day, announced plans to conduct regular yoga classes throughout the year for all students, staff and their family members.

Yoga brings physical and mental relief to a human being and it takes humankind towards total growth, said Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Culture & MoS for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Dr Mahesh Sharma while addressing at celebration of 4th International Day of Yoga at Shaheed Minar, Kolkata today. "So now the world knows the power of yoga", participant Sidharth Singh, 23, told AFP. According to Indian recognition, Yogi Shiva started teaching yoga science on this day to mankind.

Last year, PM Modi had led the yoga day celebrations in Lucknow.
