"And hard", McVay told WPVI.

"The next thing I know, he shot it in our direction and 'bam.' It like, hit me like a ton of bricks".

After a visit to the emergency room to check for a concussion, she said she has been applying ice to her face every 20 minutes.

Phillie Phanatic's hot dog cannon is synomous with Phillies games. "It's going to go down the side of my face".

A Phillies fan was injured at a game after being hit in the head.by a FLYING HOT DOG.

Now that the public knows she's OK, McVay can bank on people getting a decent laugh out of this one.

Despite the situation, McVay has had a good attitude about the series of unfortunate events, and does not plan to take legal action against the franchise.

McVay said the Phillies reached out to her on Tuesday to apologize, and they have offered her tickets to a future game when she wants to return. In 2012, another fan filed suit when the Phanatic allegedly flung her into a pool while she was sitting on a lounge chair at her sister's wedding.

McVay said she couldn't avoid being struck by the hot dog, let alone catch it, because of a shoulder injury that is set for a surgical procedure.

The Phanatic, naturally, felt bad about what happened, and the team reached out to her on Tuesday to apologize.

"I mean, you would think - I understand a baseball, but not a hot dog".

McVay is aware of the absurdity of the source of her injury, and she understands if others might giggle too.
