Arsenal fans bemoan tough start after seeing Premier League fixtures

The games against Manchester United will first be staged at the Etihad Stadium on 10 November, while the game across the city at Old Trafford will be featured on 16 March.

Being the unbearably needy dweebs they are, the Premier League have chosen the first day of the World Cup to announce their fixtures for the 2018/19 season. Tottenham make the trip to Tyneside to play Newcastle United, while Chelsea go to Huddersfield and Manchester United host Leicester City.

And the Spaniard has been given a testing opening to Premier League management. The coaching staff were keen to place a home game within the early fixtures so we shall have one home game at Wembley.

Perhaps the most eagerly anticipated game next season will not be the Manchester derby, but the first clash between City and Liverpool at Anfield on October 6.

The league resumes on 15 September, before the Champions League group stage begins on September 18.

We'll face familiar foes as the three promoted sides make their return to Premier League action.

However, the Reds are still some way from being a Premier League-winning outfit.

"We had always meant to request a few games away at the start of the season".

With the last two meetings between English football's two biggest clubs at Anfield ending in dismal 0-0 draws, it is to be hoped that December's clash on Merseyside produces more drama and goals.

Fulham begin with London derbies against Crystal Palace and Tottenham, while Cardiff follow their opener at Bournemouth with a home game against Newcastle. Arsenal and Chelsea only announced a preseason friendly in Dublin for August 1 on Wednesday, and they will meet again in the league just 17 days later.

"They're at a good age but good level of experience, all of them".
