Browns' Damarious Randall makes jersey promise if Cavaliers win NBA Finals

He tweeted that "If the Cleveland Cavaliers win the 2018 National Basketball Association finals I'll buy everyone who retweet's this a jersey".

Randall, who the Browns acquired in a trade with Green Bay in March, is a fan of Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors.

The NBA Finals are officially set, and Las Vegas has the Golden State Warriors heavily favoured over the Cleveland Cavaliers to win the seven-game series and take home the NBA Championship for the third time in four years.

With 695,000 retweets and counting, Randall doubled down on his promise Tuesday night after a fan accused him of bluffing.

"I didn't think people were going to actually view that as a serious tweet from me", he said.

"I definitely didn't think the Cleveland fanbase would go this insane about it", Randall continued. "I definitely didn't think the Cleveland fan base would go this insane about it. Just to know how passionate this fan base is, it is really encouraging". While jersey prices range, it could still get rather pricey for Randall.

Randall would not divulge how he planned to pay off the promise or if he had an alternate idea, perhaps charity-related, if the Cavs win.

According to Tim Daniels of Bleacher Report, Randall's tweet flew past Detroit Lions punter Sam Martin's tweet about buying dog food for Hurricane Harvey victims.

There have been more than 121,000 retweets as of the writing of this post.

In fact, from May 23-May 29, no tweet was retweeted more.

"Obviously, this is Damarious' first year with us, and I am sure that there are a lot of lessons learned", Jackson said of his social-media policy. However, he did note that LeBron James should be this season's MVP.

For example, Randall meant to attend Games 3 and 4 of the Finals in Cleveland, but now he's unsure.
