The 20-year-old woman faces several charges, including aggravated assault on a police officer.

Emily Weinman of Philadelphia was at the New Jersey beach with her daughter, her daughter's father and a friend when the officers approached them on Saturday and ask them if there were any underage drinking going on. An officer can be heard saying, "You're about to get dropped". "Don't cuff me!" Weinman says.

When he tries to arrest her, she resists and hurls expletives as they struggle in the sand. "Matthew, they're choking me". You can't lock me up. She insults the officers and tells them they're wasting their time.

"This matter is still under investigation, however, in an effort to insure transparency with the public we serve, it was imperative that this video be released as soon as feasibly possible", the statement said. She has now been charged with aggravated assault on a police officer, spitting bodily fluids at an officer, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstruction and minor in possession of alcohol. He said the city is taking an "aggressive stance" against underage drinking on the beach. The officer flipped the camera back on mid-discussion, presumably after he explained he would allow Weinman to leave.

Mayor Ernie Troiano Jr. had previously said the videos would likely "vindicate" the officers.

At the end of the video released by Wildwood police, the officer tells a supervisor the woman had Twisted Teas and had refused to give her name.

"She assaults them, she spits at them, she kicks them". "I can not breathe!" she cries out.

The Cape May Prosecutor's Office is investigating, and the officers involved have been put on administrative duty pending an internal affairs investigation.

Cell phone video went viral showing the woman being punched in the head twice by an officer as he tried to restrain her. "At that point, the police officer did what he had to do", he said.

Weinman's lawyer say the videos show police overreacted.

"The number of people who think she got what she deserved is appalling", Dicht said. The video cuts out momentarily, then shows Weinman screaming as the police officer pulls her to the ground and grabs her hair.

The officers were identified as Class II patrolmen Thomas Cannon, John Hillman and Robert Jordan.

Troiano told that Weinman "chose to attack the officer, spit on the officer".

None of the officers have a history of using excessive force, Regalbuto said. "Maybe not. But then again maybe she did deserve it, I don't know", Troiano added.

Weinman has a summons to appear in court on June 15.
