If you can't wait until October to get your hands on a Mega Man game, Capcom will also be releasing Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2 will be coming to PC and consoles on July 24.

Capcom's Japanese-language webpage for Mega Man 11 has also revealed a new Mega Man Amiibo that will launch alongside the game.

You can check out the latest Mega Man 11 trailer with new gameplay and an explanation of the plot and gear system above.

The double gear system is fairly straightforward, but it alters the classic Mega Man formula in some pretty big ways.

The Speed Gear allows him to slow down time throughout the stage in order to better plot platform navigation and taking out enemies. However, using the Double Gear power-up, you'll be able to combine both abilities at the same time, which is especially helpful when fighting a boss with a low health meter.

In the events of Mega Man 11, long-time mustachioed series villain Dr. The Power Gear can also be combined with any special weapons you pick up from defeated bosses, making it a devastating tool. He's a Wily one (pun intended), zipping around the screen with electrical bolts and trying to destroy Mega Man with each new attack.

So what do you think of the new information for Mega Man 11? The benevolent Dr. Light decides to upgrade Mega Man with Wily's powerful prototype known as the Double Gear system, expanding his abilities for the greatest fight yet for everlasting peace. PS4 owners who pre-order the digital version on PSN will obtain a dynamic Mega Man 30th Anniversary theme created by Truant Pixel.
