Klopp unconcerned by Salah's struggles against Chelsea

Eden Hazard was becoming more influential for Chelsea and almost added a second for the hosts after dancing past three Liverpool defenders, his near-post effort just rebuffed by Karius and with 10 minutes to go Marcus Alonso's spectacular left-foot volley whistled just past the post. "We play our last game at home and Chelsea have to go to Newcastle - that's not a holiday trip, it doesn't sound like a holiday trip to me".

Ex-Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah will be looking to break the record for most goals in a 38-game season when he returns to Stamford Bridge.

However, against a forward line that had just scored seven times in the Champions League semi-final aggregate win over AS Roma, Chelsea stood firm, and rarely looked like conceding.

"I think this season for Salah is a fantastic season".

Antonio Conte's Chelsea are still harbouring hopes of reaching the top four and will be relying on Olivier Giroud in attack, as he makes a second successive start. Our opponents are dropping points.

However, Liverpool's superior goal difference over Chelsea means a win in their final-day clash with Brighton would guarantee a top-four finish, regardless of what fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur or Chelsea do in their remaining fixtures. "The performance was good enough to get a good point, but we weren't clinical enough", Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp said. That doesn't sound like a holiday to me. "They are a very good team so it's right to give them compliments".

"That's not what I want to see and not what he wants to do", he said. Liverpool did plenty of pressing but could not find an equalizer.

Attention to detail will be hugely important if Chelsea want to get anything from this match, with Conte highlighting the explosiveness of Salah, Mané and Firmino, together with the opportunities they can create in behind.

Victor Moses teased Andrew Robertson as he worked space to swing over a cross and Giroud, stealing in front of the slow to react Dejan Lovren, glanced a fine header into the far corner of the net.

Chelsea's 23 interceptions on Sunday were the most they have made in the current Premier League campaign and only twice have they made more clearances in a top-flight contest this term.
