London Lag B'Omer bonfire erupts into fireball; said to injure 30

Hatzola said on Twitter that it "provided a mega response team to a major incident as a result of a fire explosion".

About 30 people were injured in the explosion that occurred in the North of London.

The incident occurred as hundreds of people gathered to celebrate the Jewish holiday in Stamford Hill.

This was reported by the British newspaper Daily Express, writes the Chronicle.info with reference for Today. It was reported someone had thrown a smartphone on the blaze but video footage suggested the explosion happened when it was ignited.

Around thirty individuals are believed to have been treated for their injuries, with ten being taken to hospital.


Ten people were injured in London when a bonfire exploded during Lag BaOmer celebrations.

Yeshiva World, an orthodox Jewish news service, said, "People shrieked and panicked, and people trampled on one another" as the fireball went up.


Lighting bonfires is a traditional part of Lag BaOmer.
