Manchester United now sit in second place in the Premier League, five points clear of rivals Liverpool but having ceded the English Premier League to their cross-town rivals Manchester City.

Dean Ashton has told West Ham players to "show a bit of pride" after losing 4-1 to Manchester City at the London Stadium on Sunday.

City's tally of 102 goals for the season is one off Chelsea's Premier League record set in 2009-10.

City boss Guardiola said: "I'm happy that next Sunday we will receive the Premier League trophy and have the chance to be the best team in history in England, with the most points".

The rest of the match was a procession for City as they strolled to a 30th win of the season, equalling the record for victories in a Premier League campaign.

Bravo would struggle badly himself last season as City finished third in the table.

According to West Ham news outlet Claret & Hugh, Carroll was reportedly frustrated after being forced to watch his side's humiliating defeat from the sidelines having not been used at all by Moyes.

The Premier League's top 6 seem insurmountable at the moment.

"There are five teams left involved in it and I can assure you we'll have a good go".

After 12 minutes Sane's shot deflected in off Patrice Evra, before Kevin De Bruyne's cross found the net via Declan Rice's thigh and Zabaleta's backside.

In contrast, West Ham face an anxious finale to a troubled season as they fight to avoid the drop in their last three games.

"Huddersfield, Brighton, Southampton, they deserve for us to be who we are all season". I didn't think we did as well as we did against them at the Etihad earlier in the season.

The Hammers sit just three points above the relegation zone with three games to play, and desperately need three points against Claude Puel's Leicester this weekend to ease their concerns.

"They were excellent and we didn't defend as well as we have against other big teams". We will find out in the future.

"We couldn't get close to them".
