Former two-division champion Conor McGregor facing three counts of assault and one count of criminal mischief charges after his role in a fracas that left two UFC fighters Michael Chiesa and Ray Borg injured.

Diaz last appeared in the UFC in August 2016 where he was on the wrong end of what some still consider to be a controversial majority decision to rival Conor McGregor. "He's gotta be punished by the law first". But more than that, who should is first opponent be upon his return? Five of McGregor's 10 UFC bouts have taken place in the Nevada city. "Back in August of 2017, Diaz's boxing coach Richard Perez said that Diaz will needs "$20-30 million" for the McGregor trilogy.

"We'll see what happens". MMA Fighting reports that, during the discussions, Diaz was presented with some pretty intriguing lightweight matchups - although, a shot at champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and a third fight with McGregor doesn't seem as if they're on the table at this time.

McGregor is by far the UFC's biggest draw and getting him back in action sooner rather than later is only going to be good for the company's bottom line.

However, an agreement to see Ultimate Fighter season five victor compete on the eighth pay-per-view card of the year hasn't been agreed. The President of championship noticed that Nurmagomedov can fight in Russian Federation, but not in this case, since the upcoming game is "too big" and it needs to be held in Las Vegas.

Considering the history between the two fighters and the fact that Nurmagomedov holds the title that McGregor once held, but didn't lose in a fight, it could also be one of the biggest UFC fights in history.

"So he's not looking at, in Brooklyn, generally, you wouldn't get jail time for this, especially if it's your first offense, which I understand this is". However, White says it won't take place in Russian Federation, as the UFC is expected to debut in Nurmagomedov's homeland in the near future.
