CBSE To Declare JEE Main 2018 Result on April 30, 2018

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) confirmed that IIT JEE Main 2018 results will be declared today (30th April) around 6 PM. As many as 10 meritorious students from FIITJEE Ranchi Centre Classroom Program who exhibited their distinguished merit in JEE (Mains) grabbed top rankings. Tiwary scored 335 out of 360.

JEE (Main) is also an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced). After that, 90 questions are drawn randomly and 8-9 sets are created.

The 2018 IIT JEE Main examination was held in two mode - computer-based and offline. Note that the results are released by CBSE while the JEE body has the responsibility to conduct examinations. Around 11.4 lakh students had appeared for the JEE Main this year.

Aniswar Srivatsa Krishnan, a student of Devi Academy, has bagged the All India 21st rank in the JEE (Main), the results for which were declared on Monday.

JEE Advanced 2018 paper 1 will be held from 9am to noon while paper 2 will be held from 2pm to 5pm.

As per a notification by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, there shall be no weightage for the class 12 marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE (Main) examination. The JEE Advanced 2018 examination is conducted for admission to IITs. The candidates will also be able to download their rank cards.

The JEE Main exam offline mode was conducted on April 8 while the exams for online mode were conducted on April 15 and 16, 2018. Though the exact time of the announcement is still under wraps, the results are expected by afternoon.

The cut-off mark to qualify for the JEE (Advanced) has come down this year to 74 from 81 last year due to the tough maths questions and complex calculations in the chemistry and physics sections.
