But Virat has played five Tests in England and at an average of 13.4 has managed to score only 134 runs in total.

India skipper Virat Kohli is set to play county cricket this summer ahead of his side's Test series against England this summer, according to reports.

The Indian skipper's troubles against the moving ball in England, particularly against James Anderson, was well documented last time around, and the 29-year-old will be hoping to work out his flaws before the 5-Test series against England commences. A BCCI official confirmed the same.

After his marriage with Bollywood Actress Anushka Sharma, the captain of Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli is again in the limelight. Kohli, who will turn out for Surrey in June and play his home games at the historic Kia Oval in London will be the first Indian to join their roster.

The 29-year-old has never played domestic cricket overseas though a number of top India players have spent time in England including Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravichandran Ashwin. I wouldn't like to add anything more to it.

There is no doubt that both Virat Kohli and Deepika Padukone are leading names in their respective fields.

The report also adds that Virat had made a decision to play County cricket to improve his batting on England grounds.

Kohli will play three matches for Surrey against Hampshire, Somerset, and Yorkshire from June 9 to June 28. Such a move could result in Kohli and Pujara coming up against each other as Surrey are scheduled to play Yorkshire in June.

India's five match Test series in England begins in August and will be preceded by three T20Is and three ODIs. As per sources, India skipper will also miss the last test against Afghanistan as he is now eyeing on the preparations for the England tour.
