No state represents losing for Trump more than California, whether in business or politics.

President Trump has said the fight against illegal immigration, especially with risky gangs like MS-13, is going well, but no thanks to California. Trump settled the cases before his inauguration, an agreement recently upheld by the Ninth Circuit.

At a rally for a Republican congressional candidate in Pennsylvania, Trump told the crowd about the recent phone call with Peña Nieto after the audience began shouting Trump's campaign slogan, 'Build that wall'. But who is in the running and, if Donald Trump is re-elected in 2020, would Californians consider seceding from the United States? It also expressed the city's intent to divest from the companies involved in the construction, financing and design of the wall. Back in November, Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced that these jurisdictions would lose certain federal law enforcement grants.

President Trump will travel to California for the first time since being elected.

Last month, Peña Nieto canceled plans to visit Washington after another phone call with Trump during which the US president reportedly lost his temper.

A party official said the $5 million will come from 90 people expected to attend the fundraiser.

"People will find their way here", he said as he walked in a procession featuring placards denouncing the wall plan and children in Mexican ponchos riding on their parents' shoulders.

"Well Mr. President, in California we are trying to fix that". We have to give him the welcome he deserves. "He would be welcome as our president if he stopped his racism".

The president will not be swayed by California Republican lawmakers concerned the wall is a waste of money, White House spokeswoman Sarah Huckabee Sanders told reporters Monday. He's violating the Constitution backwards, forwards and sideways. By many key measures - personal income, high-wage jobs and home prices - California has seen greater increases than the national average, said Chris Lafakis, director at Moody's Analytics in West Chester, Pennsylvania.

Trump on Tuesday is expected to be briefed on lessons learned from the construction of the prototypes built in San Diego last fall.

San Diego is the largest city on the U.S. -Mexico border to formally oppose his plans, passing a resolution in 2017.

Finally, Trump will head up to Los Angeles to attend a campaign fundraiser in Beverly Hills.

Gov. Jerry Brown invited Trump in a letter Monday to visit the Central Valley to view bridges being built for the country's first high-speed rail system.

The Trump Administration has given no indication it will accept Governor Brown's invitation.

But California nowadays is an overwhelmingly Democratic state and whoever wins the Democratic nomination this spring is nearly certainly to become the state's 40th governor in the fall.

But the president has shown far more interest in California's immigration policies than in its economic development. We are already putting 1,700 Americans to work. The group has been active in protesting Trump's policies.

Other rallies planned for Tuesday include one by local Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, recipients and activists, and at least one pro-Trump rally by the group San Diegans for Secure Borders.
