More Witchwood card reveals will start on March 26, and the expansion will go live in mid-April.

Notable additions to the set include cards which sort of behave like flip cards do in Magic, Worgen cards can shift their attack and health each time they're in your hand. Titled the Witchwood, we've got a look at the first few cards for the spooky-themed add-on, and some details about what to expect from the new single-player mode.

As for the cards within Hearthstone's The Witchwood expansion, players will have to wait.

Deceptively simple in design but epically engaging, Hearthstone will be instantly accessible to players regardless of their familiarity with Warcraft or collectible card games.

An announcement video, which features a musical number and a preview of Witchwood cards from the development team, can be viewed below. The Year of the Raven is due to arrive in mid-April, and Blizzard revealed today the first of the card game's three planned expansions for the next year.

In The Witchwood's exhilarating single-player mode, Monster Hunt, Gilneas' greatest heroes are called to cleanse the forest of this darkness.

Ben Brode and company provide more details on the gameplay implications of the new cards in the Blair Witch-style video above, adding to a delightful collection of very odd Hearthstone trailers. "Each time, it'll add a ghostly copy of the card back to your hand that disappears at the end of your turn".

Baku the Mooneater (7/8, 9 Cost): The counterpart to Genn Graymane, this will also activate at the start of the game. Genn Greymane reduces the cost of your Hero Power by 1 if you only have cards that cost even numbers of mana in your deck. The new Rush attribute will allow cards to act immediately upon being played, but only to attack other minions, differentiating it from the Charge mechanic.

Hearthstone: The Witchwood is available for pre-purchase now, with a bonus 20 packs and "In a Dark Wood" card back on the table for people who pony up early.

"Monster Hunt will release two weeks after The Witchwood launches".

For more details check out the official web site, oh, and of course, there's a $49.99 pre-purchase bundle which is really the best overall value when it comes to buying any Hearthstone cards.
