Trump's Porn Star Payoff Was Flagged as Suspicious by the Bank

Cohen called the report "Fake News", when contacted by the Journal.

Cohen, according to the Journal's reporting, had formed the company Essential Consultants LLC to make the payment, with the money originating in First Republic bank and being sent to a client-trust account belonging to Daniels' lawyer Keith Davidson at the City National Bank in Los Angeles.

Daniels received the money transfer on October 27, 2016, just under two weeks before the presidential election, according to the report. It isn't clear when First Republic reported it to the government as suspicious.

After Trump's shock victory over Hillary Clinton, Cohen is said to have complained to his friends that he had not been paid back for sending the funds to Clifford.

More information may soon come out regarding the allegations, as Daniels' manager claims Cohen's public acknowledgement of the NDA breaks the agreement - allowing her to come forward with her story if she wishes to.

Waters also claimed a "disoriented " president is a risky thing for America after The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration's morale is an "all-time low" as the president is outraged by the negative coverage of the White House, including the controversy surrounding senior adviser Jared Kushner.

Michael Cohen paid Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, $130,000 as part of a nondisclosure agreement that ensured she would not speak about an alleged 2006 affair with Trump.

Some members of Congress have started to show interest in Cohen's payment to Daniels as it might have violated campaign-finance laws.

While the White House did not provide a comment for the Journal story, it has repeatedly denied the affair, calling it "old, recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election". Cohen declined to comment on whether Trump or anyone else reimbursed him.

"Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly", Cohen said.
