Diablo Coming For Nintendo Switch? Blizzard's Recent Tweet Has Fans Freaking Out

While Blizzard says they have nothing to announce, the momentum for Nintendo's latest system, as well as support from devs like Bethesda, makes it so that Diablo 3 heading to the Switch is not an impossibility.

The post from Blizzard certainly is confusing and does come across as slightly random, but when looked at as a marketing post for a future game release the picture comes together much more nicely. According to the source, Blizzard is "looking to implement local plays with multiple Switches, allowing you to team up for local co-op action as you run around Sanctuary to stop Diablo". The short video titled, "Sweet Dreams", showed a Diablo night light flickering on and off. "I'm coming. I'm coming, Nin-ten-do #blizzard2017".

"We can assure you we're not that clever", a spokesperson for Blizzard Entertainment said via email.

Having Diablo III on the Nintendo Switch would be awesome, but the gore would have to be toned down immensely.

Another user vowed to buy Diablo 3 for a fourth time if Blizzard does in fact release a version for the Switch, and yet another said, "Yeah, take my money". As a big fan of Diablo III, the idea of a portable Diablo game excites me to no end.

Blizzard has name-dropped the Switch - or at least Nintendo - in the past. Well, we all know what happens when you assume things. Blizzard is teasing something new for Diablo 3 over on the game's official Twitter account, sharing a GIF of someone switching a Diablo night light on and off.
