European Union officials have urged Israeli authorities to rebuild recently demolished classrooms that served Palestinian children living in Abu Nuwar community in the central West Bank.

Local residents said that Israeli troops arrived at the family home shortly after the attack and began interrogating relatives, while young villagers hurled stones at the soldiers. "The security forces will catch whoever tries to attack Israeli citizens and we will deal with them to the fullest extent of the law", Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said.

A Palestinian was killed by Israeli forces after an alleged stabbing attack in the Israeli-occupied West Bank on Wednesday, according to Palestinian Health Ministry.

Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip mostly use the Israeli shekel, Jordanian dinar, and USA dollar, and have complained that their economy is too intertwined with Israel's.

Israeli soldiers launched a manhunt for the suspect in the area early on Tuesday, Bethlehem-based Ma'an News Agency said.

Israel had accused Jarrar, who had gone into hiding for several weeks, of killing an Israeli settler in early January.

Japan, which voted against the decision made by President Trump to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel at United Nations general assembly vote reportedly rejected Trump's recognition once more during the bilateral meeting.

"When Jarrar finally came out of one building, he was armed with an M-16 assault rifle and a bag full of explosives, prompting the Israeli forces to open fire and kill him", Ynet said.

The Palestinian press also reported that raids had been carried out in Burqin, near Jenin, in which two Palestinians were injured by live ammunition employed by the Israeli forces.
