Black is the colour as reality show hits Hollywood

The Shape of Water is a dark fantasy directed by the acclaimed Guillermo del Toro which won him the coveted Best Director award at the Golden Globes ceremony.

On the big-screen side, writer-director Martin McDonagh's dark drama Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri was the biggest victor, receiving six nominations and four awards over the course of the night.

Earlier in the night, both Frances McDormand and Sam Rockwellwere awarded for their acting, while Martin McDonagh was recognized for Best Screenplay.

Gary Oldman was named best drama movie actor for his role as British wartime leader in Focus Features "Darkest Hour" and Frances McDormand took home the award for drama actress for her role as an angry mother in Fox Searchlight's "Three Billboards".

The flick, which picked up a handful of Golden Globes over the weekend, doesn't sound like it should be amusing; it follows the story of Mildred, played by Frances McDormand, as she sets out on a one-woman crusade to avenge her daughter's murder.
