The big draw is that The Hidden Ones will take place in an all-new region of Egypt, giving the player more to explore.

This free update seems to excite many people out there for sure.

The Hidden Ones, the first of two expansions headed to Assassin's Creed Origins, will arrive this month (January). Additionally, the level cap has been increased from 40 to 45. The expansion is free for season pass holders, but non-subscribers will presumably pay for the expansion.

If that wasn't enough, gamers can also nab new items from Origins' Heka chests, including those from the Nightmare, Gladiator, First Civilisation, and Wacky Packs, as well as flog unwanted outfits to weavers.

There are also players who are not quite ready to leave ancient Egypt just yet even though they have already finished the game, and they would like to have more reasons to hang around. Upcoming updates to the In-game Store and Ubisoft Club include the Almighty Pack on January 16 and For Honor Pack on January 30, as well as the Warden's Oath Outfit coming to the Ubisoft Club on January 30.

Players will also get another chance this month to fight Anubis (January 9-16) and Sobek (January 23-30) as the Trials of the Gods event returns.

Some New Game+ modes may allow players to carry over items or abilities from their initial playthroughs.

A variety of new content is on the way to Assassin's Creed Origins this year.

While previous content has been limited to combat events and various costume packs, this month marks the launch of The Hidden Ones.
