Watertown not included on Gander Outdoors store location list

With two stores open in Lakeville, Minn., and Utica, Mich., Lemonis said Janesville, Wis., is next and stores will be opening "at a very rapid pace" over the next several weeks.

In a video posted on Facebook, CEO Marcus Lemonis read off a list of Gander Outdoors locations he said the company plans to open by May or mid-June.

In all, 69 Gander Mountain locations are being re-branded as Gander Outdoors.

There's still no word on when the former Onalaska Gander Mountain store will reopen, but it is among 11 Wisconsin locations the new owner says will be open by June.


Gander Mountain was one of a many sports retailers pushed into bankruptcy in recent years, including MC Sports, Eastern Outfitters, Sports Authority, and Sports Chalet.

At the York location, there will be a public grand opening event and an official-ribbon cutting ceremony with details to come.
