There's speculation that Sony will introduce these new smartphones at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show up next week, or decide to hold it off until the MWC 2018 in February. Now, some new renders have emerged online that reveals some key design language about the upcoming smartphones.

As far as the Sony Xperia L2 is concerned, it will be a more budget-centric device with a 5.2-inch HD display that will also have a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels.

This leak mainly focuses on the details of the XA2 and XA2 Ultra, since the source, Evan Blass, says that less is known about the upcoming Sony Xperia L2. The Ultra model should come with a dual 15 MP front-facing camera (with 4K video) and a 21 MP rear camera, while the regular XA2 will have the same rear camera, but only a single 7 MP shooter on the front. "The phone will come with a 5.2" HD (720P) display, and, like the XA2/XA2 Ultra above, the same design including a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner (which you can see on Venture Beat).

The biggest change to these mid-range models appears to be their transition from Mediatek systems-on-chip to Qualcomm Snapdragon 630s (2.2GHz octa core). On the hardware front, the new Xperia XA2 may be powered by Snapdragon 630 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which can be expandable via microSD card.

Thanks to the previous sightings on GFXBench, we already have a fair idea of what to expect from Xperia XA2 and XA2 Ultra in terms of the specifications. Both phones will also likely feature the latest Android 8.0 Oreo version, as is the standard now for 2018. The Xperia L2 does not seem to have a dedicated camera button, but apart from that, rest of the design largely remains the same. To give you a quick refresher, the Sony Xperia XA2 is going to be the smaller of the two phones with a 5.2-inch full HD screen.
