Assuming the game doesn't get delayed until fall 2018, Rockstar should have more to show for the game and likely will announce a release date early next year.

However, this information is not officially confirmed by the developers, and therefore should treat it accordingly. The date is also a Friday, which, next to Tuesday, is a popular release day for high profile games. It should be noted that previously, these "accidental" leaks from Coolshop turned out to be surprisingly accurate.

The listing is now on CoolShop, a Denmark based retailer, to help for the credibility of the retailer, this is the same online store that told about the release date of Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PS4 and Xbox One months before the official announcement of the game from Rockstar. This game can't come soon enough.

Fans of Red Dead Redemption have been chomping at the bit for the sequel to be released.

It seems like every other week there is a new retailer listing for Red Dead Redemption 2 that has a new release date.

Do you think this Red Dead Redemption 2 leak is legit? In addition, Rockstar has already stated that Red Dead Redemption 2 would release Spring 2018, and June 8 just squeezes into the last few weeks of Spring.

Now it looks like CoolShop, a Danish retailer, has possibly revealed the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date. This, while disappointing, isn't too big a surprise.

We'll keep you posted as the story develops. For the game to actually be released then, we should be seeing more of a media presence for the game, with tangible marketing materials rolling out in the coming months.
