2 dead in California workplace shooting

Officials say a shooting a Long Beach business has killed one victim and the gunman and also left another person wounded.

"This was a workplace violence incident", Long Beach police tweeted.

The LA Times while quoting the Long Beach police said that they responded to the location amid reporters of a shooter at large.

Police say there are multiple victims at the scene but nothing about the number or their conditions.

Some victims were taken to the hospital by ambulance, some drove themselves, authorities said. It happened around 2:25 p.m.at what appeared to be the Law Offices of Larry H. Parker, located in the 300 block of East San Antonio Drive.


Authorities said the gunman is "believed to be deceased at the scene".

Several witnesses said the shooting occurred in a building that housed a law office.


Streets near the incident are being closed down.
