Wednesday's winning numbers are: 3 - 9 - 16 - 56 - 60 Powerball: 3 Powerplay: 3xNo winning tickets were sold for Wednesday's Powerball drawing, which means the jackpot rolled to an estimated $384 million, which amounts to almost $240 million with the cash option.

There hasn't been a Mega Millions jackpot victor since before the October 31 change of odds, a string of 21 straight drawings.

If a MI player wins Saturday's $384 million jackpot, it would be the largest Powerball prize won in the state. Tickets cost $2 each. On Aug. 15, 2012, Donald Lawson, of Lapeer, won a $337 million Powerball jackpot. A ticket sold in Washington matched the five white balls and included the optional Megaplier, which means that player won the Match 5 second prize worth $4 million, officials said.

Mega Millions changed its format in October, sending the odds of picking all six numbers to one in 302.6 million from one in 258.9 million, CNN noted. It's those mega jackpots that incite individuals who typically wouldn't purchase a ticket to toss down $2 (or more) for an opportunity to win. To win the jackpot, a player must match each of the six winning numbers in an illustration.

The move was similar to one made by Powerball in October 2015.

The Powerball numbers were 3, 9, 16, 56, 60 and the Powerball was 3.

Saturday's $384 million jackpot is the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot in 2017. The next drawing is 11 p.m. Friday. In this photo, a customer buys Powerball tickets at Kavanagh Liquor in San Lorenzo, California, Jan. 13, 2016.
